Tree of Heaven and Spotted Lanternfly: Unwanted Invaders of Our Native Landscape

  • Outdoor Discovery Center 120 Muser Drive Cornwall, NY, 12518 (map)

Cornwall Garden Club Sponsored Speaker Program

Location: Hudson Highlands Nature Museum, Wildlife Education Center 25 Boulevard, COH

Tree of Heaven(Ailanthus altissima) sounds divine, but it is becoming an invasive tree in the Hudson Valley. It is also a favorite host tree for the dreaded Spotted Lanternfly. Come join us as Susan Ndiaye, a Cornell Cooperative Extension Horticultural Educator and Entomologist, talks about this tree and pest. She will teach us how to identify them and how we can minimize their effects on our beautiful surroundings.

Seating is limited. Masks required. To register send an email to rportelli8@yahoo.com
