Camp Director: Brianna Turk

Hello Everyone!

My name is Brianna Turk, and I’m thrilled to be the Director of our summer camp this year. I recently graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a degree in Early Childhood and Childhood Education (Birth–Grade 6), and I’m passionate about creating fun, safe, and enriching experiences for kids of all ages.

With experience in the classroom as a teacher, as well as years of babysitting and nannying, I bring a deep love for learning, creativity, and community to camp. My goal is to make this summer full of adventure, growth, and unforgettable memories for every camper. I’m especially excited to get to know each family and help every child feel welcome, confident, and celebrated for who they are.

I can’t wait for all the laughter, learning, and sunshine ahead!

Pathfinder Lead Counselor: Natalie Amador

I am a graduate from Monroe Woodbury High School. I plan to go to SUNY New Paltz for Early childhood Education. I am really excited for this coming summer. I have previously worked for a small nature based camp last summer. My teaching philosophy is a mix between progressivism, student lead and hands-on learning, as well as existentialism which allows students to choose their pathways on how they learn. I babysit and assist in child care as my part-time job during the school seasons. I am excited to work with Hudson Highland Nature center: Warwick summer camp. It is important for children to be exposed to nature and its beauty.

Pathfinder Assistant Counselor: Madison Horner

Hi! My name is Madison Horner. I’m an upcoming senior at SUNY Cortland, my major is speech and hearing sciences. I plan on becoming a Speech Language Pathologist. When the weather's nice I love spending as much time outside as possible. I’m excited to share my love for nature for this upcoming summer camp session! I believe it’s so important to be active and help our community grow and thrive while protecting nature!

Rangers Lead Counselor: Adella Kurosz

Hello! My name is Adella and I’m currently attending Suny New Paltz to gain my degree in Art Education! I love painting, ceramics and anything art related and I hope to teach my love of art to others and see how it helps them grow much like it did for me. I’m excited to teach some art-centered activities in a natural environment and teach natural and easy ways to make art!

Rangers Assistant Counselor: Leah Allegro

Hi!!I’m from Warwick and I’m going into my senior year as a psychology major at SUNY Geneseo. My hobbies include dance, reading, working out and spending as much time outside as possible! I intend to work in rehabilitation as an occupational therapist, and have always found a deep sense of peace and inspiration in the outdoors. I’m excited to explore new environmental experiences through hands-on learning and outdoor exploration.
