Celebrate 30 Years of the Young Naturlaist Preschool!
The Young Naturalist Preschool at the Hudson Highlands Nature Center warmly invites our current families and beloved alumni to a Summer Community Gathering. We’re thrilled to be celebrating 30 years of curiosity, connection, and outdoor exploration. Join us as we honor the community that has grown with us over the years.
We'll kick off the evening in Grasshopper Grove, followed by a walk down to the wetlands—a perfect way to reflect on the beauty of nature and the bonds we've shared.
We can’t wait to see familiar faces and create new memories together!
Please feel free to bring snacks/water.

Nearing its third decade, this popular program offers three- and four-year-olds the opportunity to interact with other students and with nature in a hands-on and exciting way. Young Naturalists learn skills for school and beyond by exploring, experimenting, and discovering the world around them. HHNC's Young Naturalist (YN) Preschool program emphasizes science and nature-based activities, outdoor experiences, social skills, and preparation for kindergarten using the resources of the Nature Center. The vital skills necessary for success in kindergarten are seamlessly integrated into the environmental curriculum.
