Admission:

Prepaid registration is VERy STRONGLY SUGGESTED and is the only way to guarantee your desired tour date/time!!
Walk-ins welcome as space allows

  • HHNC Members: $12 per person ages 5 and up

  • Not-yet-Members: $15 per person ages 5 and up

  • Ages 4 and under are free

  • Public Tour Times: Tours go out hourly from 11am-3pm:
    -Sugar Bush Tours: 11am, 1pm & 2pm

Two Public Tours offerd:

As winter winds down, it’s maple sugaring time! Learn how to identify and tap sugar maple trees, discover sugaring techniques used by Native Americans, pioneers, & modern-day farmers, and see an evaporator in action! PLus, Delicious local maple syrup from Tree Juice is available for sale to tour attendees (see below for details). Join us for a sweet time!

**Sugar Bush Tours
11am, 1pm & 2pm

A one mile moderate hike through field and forest to the Sugar Bush Shack.
 **(terrain and weather conditions dependent- a Maple Lane tour will be given if we are unable to hike to the Sugar Bush)

Maple Lane Tours:
12pm & 3pm

Great for families with little ones in strollers and/or those with limited mobility, it’s a short distance from the front pavilion to our Maple Lane Sugar Shack after a tour of the sugar maple stand.

Scout Group Tours:

  • 1 session per date listed above. 20 people max per session

  • 10am - 11:30am

  • Sugar Bush Tour **(terrain and weather conditions dependent- a Maple Lane tour will be given if we are unable to hike to the Sugar Bush)

  • $100 non-refundable deposit. Full balance due 2 week prior to tour. $10 per each scout and adult.

Tours begin promptly on the hour so Please arrive five minutes early to check-in!

Delicious local maple syrup from Tree Juice is available for online pre-sale that be ready to be picked up at your tour!
-Maple syrup purchases are for tour attendees only and only available to those attending in-person Maple Sugar Tours.
-It must be purchased by 3pm the Friday before your tour

TOUR AVAILABILITY:

**Important Information**

  • Registration for tours and maple syrup sales will close at 3pm the Friday before the weekend of upcoming tours

  • Restrooms will be available during Maple Sugar Tours

  • Please wear appropriate footwear for potentially snowy/muddy/icy/cold conditions and dress warmly!

  • Please note: The phones are not monitored on the weekends!

  • In case of inclement weather, the Nature Center will contact you via your registration information if tours are canceled. If you are not contacted- tours are on as scheduled.

REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY:

PLEASE NOTE: Refunds are only given if HHNC cancels your pre-registered tour OR if you notify the office via email or phone 845-534-5506 by 3pm 1 week before your tour

·  If HHNM cancels a program/event (or postpones to a new date you cannot attend)  registrants are entitled to a refund

·  In the event of a patron requested refund/cancellation - Registrants are entitled to a refund minus the credit card processing fee, if they cancel at least 1 week before their tour. Refunds for shorter notice cancellations may be given if we can fill the opened spots.
