Explore the basic characteristics of this Invertebrate group in the Animal Kingdom! The program begins with a fun and interactive presentation all about Insects and their life cycle, utilizing the Museum's live animal collection. Students will learn the difference between true Insects and insect look alikes. The discussion concludes by emphasizing the importance of all Invertebrates in our ecosystem and food system. This presentation includes viewing insects in various life stages as well as shed exoskeletons and preserved, mounted artifacts providing students with a tactile dimension to their learning.
